About me

I am a sense-maker, storyteller, (African) tech and innovation fan, interviewer, profiler, online learning proponent and community-builder. Oh, and did I mention that I am a storyteller?

More plainly, I am a strategist, community catalyst and creative. Over the last several years, I have dedicated a great deal of professional time to producing and presenting audio content— including the African Tech Roundup podcast, live radio and storytelling podcasts for the BBC World Service. I have also penned widely-distributed opinion editorials which offer accessible African perspectives on the continent's eventful digital transformation journey.

Alongside all that, my work as a strategist and media and communications consultant has involved developing and executing content strategy, tactical media plays, executive education programming and community building campaigns for leading organisations such as SPARK, Airbnb, AXA, Wits University, the South African Western Cape Government, and the International Federation of Health Payers.

As a freelance event director, live facilitator, master of ceremonies, and voice-over artist— servicing numerous brands and agencies on a freelance basis every year.
